Bio
Dr. Carolyn Peoples Veiga received her Ph.D. in November 2004 from the University of Maryland College Park, College of Education, Department of Human Department with a focus on Adult Development and Achievement Motivation. She has a Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing as a Clinical Specialist from The Catholic University School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois College of Nursing.

Dr. Peoples Veiga's dissertation is entitled: "Case Studies of Resilient Returning Women of African Descent in an RN to BSN Completion Program at an Historically Black College/University: Personal and Academic Lived Experiences." She served as a Professor of Nursing at an Historically Black College/University for 10 years. She has also been a Continuing Education Consultant for a state nursing association. Dr. Peoples Veiga has served as Founder and President of her own consulting firm since 1979. She is currently an Independent Educational Consultant. She is married and is the mother of a daughter who is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Spelman College and a son who is a rising senior at Tennessee State University.
